Monument “Ground Zero” is a monument built in order to commemorate the 202 victims of bomb blasts in the Sari Club and Paddy’s Cafe on Jalan Legian, October 12, 2002. This monument was built on the idea of Nyoman Rudana (Chairman of the Association of Tourist Attraction Indonesia Putri Bali), which suggested that a monument was established at the site of the bombing (known as the location of “Ground Zero”). After the bombing, start the monument was built and completed in 2003 to be named “Monument Panca Continent”. A year later, the monument was inaugurated on October 12, 2004 by Chief Regent of Badung, Anak Agung Ngurah Oka Ratmadi to be named “Humanitarian Bombing Tragedy Monument October 12, 2002”.
